INTRODUCTION

The Game is based on the events at the Olympic Games.

GAME DETAILS

The game is based on the prediction of the podium of each event.

Please check the OFFICIAL WEBSITE (en.beijing2008.cn) of the Olympic Games for more details on the schedule.

For the game are relevant the medals gained by athletes/nations in each event.

HOW TO PLAY

Each user can enter only one fantateam to the Game.

For each event the Fantamanager needs to select 3 athletes/nations for the podium, with the respective medals, of the selected event.

The only restriction is the following: the same ATHLETE/NATION cannot be selected in more than one event.

For each event the Fantamanager will gain points assigned as per the below table.

NOTE - the points scoring system is designed to advantage those fantamanagers that select the winner, regardless of which medal was selected in the Fantamanager’s forecasts.

In the team events where athletes selection is required, the selected athlete need to have partecipated in at least one match of the selected event, in order for the points to be assigned.

NOTE: for technical reasons the points will appear in the column usually reserved to the Gold Medals in the “Medals based” games.

FINAL RANKING

At the end of each event, each Fantateam will be assigned the points based on the selections made and the above scoring system.

The final ranking of this Game will be based on the following criteria:

1. Total points
2. Number of Gold medals correctly predicted
3. Number of selections that generated points

There are no subsequent criteria, therefore it will be possible to have more than one winner

WINNER OF THE GAME AND OVERALL MEDALS SCORING

The Fantateam that will be best placed in the Final Ranking will be proclaimed the Winner of the Game.

The best 3 Fantateams will win the respective medals valid for the overall 2008 FantaOlympics Medal Table.
